February’s Surf Park Headlines

2024 continues to roll as a historic year for surf parks. With new parks opening and many under construction, we’ll continue to see exciting news from the world of wave pools.

Here’s a look at some surf parks making headlines this month:

Wai Kai Adds a Water Playground

As surf parks work to expand their offerings and customer base, the LineUp at Wai Kai unveiled a new water playground. Travel Weekly says Wai Kai AquaVenture will open to the public on March 1. The inflatable playground allows people to climb, slide, and more as part of another water attraction. Tickets start at $35 for adults and $25 for kids.

PSSC Headlines Continue

Despite the waves currently being closed at the Palm Spring Surf Club, the new surf park is still making headlines. Plenty of recent articles are highlighting the fun at the California desert destination. Parts of the park remain open, like the restaurant. The park says they’re working to get the park back open to the public.

Italo Ferreira Records Tricks in a Wavepool

SURFER shared a video of professional surfer Italo Ferreira pulling off a fun trick while visiting Wai Kai. While in Hawaii for the World Surf League, Ferreira stopped by the LineUp at Wai Kai and hit the waves. He recorded a fun video while switching boards. Check it out here.
