March’s Surf Park Headlines

Less than a week into March, and we already have some exciting updates to share. While Texas has historically not been a surfing destination, that’s changing with updates, new parks, and plenty of projects in the works.

Here’s a look at some surf parks making headlines so far this month:

Waco Surf Unveils New Wave

Waco Surf unveiled their new wave with a post on Instagram.

Check it out:

The Texas-based surf park says it’s called “The Keg.” The wave is designed to be an “elongated, grinding tube ride.” American Wave Machines’ PerfectSwell powers the pool in Waco.

The park is reopening after a winter break and has a lot of events in the works, including a music festival

Fireside Surf Opens Restaurant and Surf Sessions

Fireside Surf, a Dallas area standing wage, is now open for surfing. Guests can book sessions online and enjoy offerings at the destination’s restaurant. Fireside announced a soft opening late last month. The pool uses citywave technology. The restaurant has a tropical theme to match the surfing in the North Texas destination.
