Alaïa Bay Reopens for the Season

Alaïa Bay, a popular European surf park destination, has reopened for the season. That’s according to a recent social media post from the company.

The park is in the Swiss Alps, giving surfers magnificent views of the mountains while riding in a Wavegarden pool.

As you can imagine, temperatures drop fairly low in the wintertime, and the park closes for a season. In a recent Instagram post, the park announced that the temperature has risen high enough to bring surfers back into the park. However, it should be noted that you’re still in the Alps. One commenter on the company’s social media account asked for the current temperature of the water. Officials say it’s currently 9 degrees Celsius, which is around 48 degrees Fahrenheit. So, you’ll want to wear a wetsuit.

The company also has several job openings supporting the facility and restaurant. You can find more details on that here.
