citywave® Tokyo Making Waves Near Oimachi Station Shinagawa

Japan’s first citywave® installation opened in Tokyo on the 11th of August 2018. The city of Tokyo will be hosting the 2020 Olympic Games, where surfing will be an official Olympic discipline for the first time in history.

citywave® is located in central Tokyo near Oimachi Station and is part of “Sporu Shinagawa” introducing 7 olympic sports to the public. The sports park features surfing, tennis, soccer, basketball, baseball, bouldering and archery.

They are open 7 days a week from 07:00 – 23:00
