Here are the most clicked Surf Park Central stories from 2025

2025 was another explosive year for the surf park industry. More surf-anchored destinations opened, and many additional projects broke ground around the world.

This year also marked a first for Surf Park Summit. We launched our global event at an active surf-anchored development, Atlantic Surf.

As the industry looks ahead, so do we. Surf Park Central has big plans for 2026.

1) Endless Surf to Power Year-Round Swell on Florida’s Gulf Coast at Shell Point Surf Club

Endless Surf is proud to announce its partnership with Shell Point Beach & Surf Club, a new public surf park set to make waves on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Following unanimous approval from  Panama City Beach’s city council, Shell Point has officially launched plans for its 10.5-acre surf destination powered by next-generation ES36 wave pool technology. 3) North America’s First Wavegarden Cove Opens at Atlantic Park

Wavegarden’s presence in the US market is now established with the opening of Atlantic Park, operated by the experienced American firm Beach Street Development. Located in an urban environment in Virginia Beach – the birthplace of East Coast surfing and just steps from the Atlantic Ocean – the surfing lagoon, featuring Wavegarden Cove technology, will open to the public on August 16. 4) Aventuur Officially Breaks Ground on Auckland Surf Park

Surf park developer Aventuur has officially broken ground on its New Zealand destination. Auckland Surf Park is designed with sustainability and community in mind. At the event to celebrate the start of construction, the team was joined by members of Ngāti Whātua and Ngāti Manuhiri. Read more…

5) Team Behind Southern Shores Announces New Surf Destination Near Zion National Park

Desert Lakes LLC, the team that created Southern Shores, has a new project in the works for Utah. Similar to Southern Shores, Zion Shores will offer UNIT Surf Pool technology with residential lots. Lots are currently on sale for around $1.5 million. Read more…
