Alchemy Surf Resort Announces Progress for California Project

Another surf park project is moving forward in California. Chris Gallardo recently posted on LinkedIn, announcing progress for Alchemy Surf Resort.

Chris and his wife Andrea took part in last year’s Surf Park Sharks at Surf Park Summit. The project outside Sacramento plans to use a Wavegarden Cove pool.

In his post, Gallardo announced new funding to help the project become a reality.

Here’s what he said:

The new year brings many new opportunities and we’re excited to let our LinkedIn network know about the 506c Reg D offering for Alchemy Surf Resort.

The Seed Round for what could be the first surf park in Northern California is now officially open to Accredited Investors. If you’re interested in learning more or know anyone that might, please reach out.

More information about the project can be found here.

Colliers International was hired to conduct a Feasibility Study and independent review of the project, noting the following information below:

PROJECT RATIONALE AND TOP 10 ADVANTAGES

HIGH DEMAND FOR SURFING

A land locked location within the world’s largest surfing market, California; limited access = high demand

LOW COMPETITION

Opportunity for first mover advantage in Northern California with no other surf parks currently planned within 400 miles (6 hour drive time)

STRONG DEMOGRAPHICS

High home values and median incomes with affluent local and regional populations; Sacramento and Placer County are leading growth areas in California

HIGH SPEND POTENTIAL

Roseville is a successful commercial location with high average spending and disposable income from residents and tourists alike

YEAR ROUND TOURISM

Strong, year-round tourism in the local and regional markets in route between the San Fransisco Bay Area and Lake Tahoe Basin

YOUTH SPORTS SPECIALISM

Placer County boasts best-in-class facilities and has an established reputation for youth sporting events that attract thousands of visitors annually

MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE

A near perfect climate for any surfing location with a long dry season, hot summers, mild winters, and sunshine over 75% of the year

OUTDOOR RECREATION HOTSPOT

Large, established recreation markets and popular outdoor destinations creating high latent demand for surfing and cross over potential

LAND SECURED IN PLACER ONE MASTERPLAN

25 acre site under contract in a highly anticipated mixed-use development that includes 5,600 new homes, Town Center, and Sacramento State University

LOW ENTITLEMENT RISK

Project can leverage existing Specific Plan, EIR, and CEQA efforts along with zoning clearance to significantly reduce development risk

Thanks friends, here’s to a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2025!
