Surf Park Veteran Joins Leadership Team at Pegasus Lodges

Pegasus Lodges, a surfing organization focused on remote destinations, lodging, and guided events, is adding Baptiste Caulonque as its new CEO.

Pegasus Lodges’ Ryder Thomas made the announcement on LinkedIn, saying:

“It is with immense excitement that I announce a significant change in leadership at Pegasus Lodges. As many of you know, Pegasus has been my passion project, my labor of love, and, for the last 12 years, my life’s work. From its humble beginnings as a single 4-room lodge on the edge of Sumatra, Pegasus Lodges has become the world’s leading luxury surf lodge operator. While the path hasn’t always been easy to navigate, the journey has been extraordinary.

However, as all great stories have their chapters, it is now time for me to pass the torch and pave the way for the next phase of Pegasus Lodges’ evolution. Over the next 12-24 months, we will be expanding into multiple new properties and venturing into new markets, signaling a thrilling new era for the company.

With great confidence and enthusiasm, Aaron Hall and I are thrilled to introduce Baptiste Caulonque as our successor to lead Pegasus Lodges into this promising future. Baptiste is not only a dear friend but also a proven executive. In addition to blue-chip corporate pedigree (Danone, Bristol Myers Squibb, PwC), Baptiste brings unimpeachable surf industry credibility to Pegasus Lodges as the former CEO of Rip Curl Europe and, most recently, as the Chief Commercial Officer of Endless Surf at WhiteWater.

Baptiste’s deep understanding of surfing coupled with his visionary leadership will undoubtedly propel Pegasus Lodges to even greater heights. I have every confidence in his ability to steer the company through this exciting period of growth and expansion. I look forward to witnessing the company thrive under his capable leadership.”

Caulonque is the former CCO for Endles Surf.
