Endless Surf, next-generation wave pool technology, has been chosen by the Terras de São José Group to power Praia do Terras, a new private beach and surf destination located one hour outside São Paulo. The project will feature an ES66, making it the largest Endless Surf lagoon in the world capable of delivering rides of up to nearly 40 seconds in length.
Set within the renowned Terras de São José residential community, Praia do Terras will blend premium amenities — including restaurants, a spa, gym, tennis courts, hiking and biking trails — with a world-class beach and surf experience designed exclusively for members of the development’s private condominium club.
A New Benchmark for the Surf Park Industry
At 66 caissons long, the ES66 represents Endless Surf’s largest model yet. With a wave this long, customization can easily accommodate five to six distinct sections, designed for specific maneuvers such as carves, floaters, airs, barrels, etc. — enabling limitless possibilities that can evolve for different user levels, training programs, or competition/event formats. Even in Split Peak operation, the ES66 will offer some of the longest rides in the region with lefts and rights of up to 20+ seconds pumping simultaneously.

The system’s modular design allows developers to tailor scale and capacity without altering key attributes of the technology — offering flexibility, high capacities, and operating efficiency across all project types.
Elevating Surfing in Brazil’s Heartland
Located in Itu, just outside São Paulo city, Praia do Terras will be the first Endless Surf installation in the state of Sao Paulo and the second in the county following Brasil Surfe Clube in Rio de Janeiro. The project will anchor a new members-only destination within the Terras de São José Group’s network of premium gated communities, blending surf, sport, and resort-style living into one cohesive environment. A pioneer in Brazilian real estate, the Terras de São José Group has more than six decades of experience in community development, infrastructure, and hospitality. Best known for creating Brazil’s first gated residential community in Itu during the 1970s, the Group has since become synonymous with high-quality, amenity-driven living. Its portfolio includes hospitality and leisure assets such as the Novotel Itu Terras de São José Golf & Resort, as well as large-scale real-estate and infrastructure projects across the region.
With Praia do Terras, the Group continues its legacy of building lifestyle-focused destinations while introducing this next-level beach experience to the São Paulo region. Construction is expected to begin in late 2027, with local membership sales launching in April 2026.
