Media Release: Tuesday, September 29, 2020

Aventuur Inc, (aventuur.com), the US based Adventure & Leisure Industry developer and investor, is delighted to announce that Andrew Ross, URBNSURF’s Founder (www.urbnsurf.com), has joined the company as a Partner.

Aventuur holds the exclusive rights to Wavegarden ‘Cove’ wave generating technology for a number of countries in the Pacific region and is currently assessing additional projects in North America.

Andrew is a surf park pioneer and has been integral in shaping the industry since founding URBNSURF in 2012. He was responsible for the design, funding, development, commercialisation, and successful launch in early 2020 of the Southern Hemisphere’s first surf park, ‘URBNSURF Melbourne’. Andrew’s extensive first mover experience will further strengthen Aventuur’s ability to deliver world class surf and leisure destinations around the globe.

With Andrew joining as a Partner, Aventuur has taken the next step towards its ambition of forming a pre- eminent execution team within the modern surf park industry.

Aventuur’s Co-Founder and CEO, Nicholas Edelman, said:

“It’s an honour to have Andrew join the Aventuur family. We truly believe he possesses the deepest knowledge base in the surf park industry through his complete immersion over the last eight years. He is one of two people who can claim to have developed a commercially operational Wavegarden ‘Cove’ and has built a surf park business from the ground up, no easy feat. Most importantly, he is a pleasure to work with.

“Aventuur has been operating behind the scenes for the past 18 months, building its project pipeline, strong partnerships, and a team of quality investors who support the company’s strategy.

“We are a company focused on delivering amazing experiences and are looking forward to working with Andrew to deliver exceptional surf park developments in the communities in which we are operating.”

On joining Aventuur as a Partner, Andrew Ross said:

“Having founded URBNSURF back in 2012, and steadily built the business through to the launch of URBNSURF Melbourne earlier this year, I was keen for a new challenge. I considered a range of interesting options in the surf park space, but ultimately chose to align with Aventuur, where I am able to take all that I’ve learned over the past eight years and apply this experience at a global scale.”

“Now that we’ve been able to witness the potential of the Wavegarden ‘Cove’, I’m really excited to start working on new integrated surf park projects around the world, and collaborating with a range of development partners and investors to deliver outstanding projects.”

“Surf park developments are multi-faceted, highly complex projects that require a strong execution team, knowledgeable shareholders, and committed stakeholders. At Aventuur, I believe we have the right mix of ingredients to successfully deliver in this space.”

“I am stoked to be joining the Aventuur team and to work with my fellow partners, Nicholas and Richard, to write the next chapter in the surf park industry.”
