Teaser version of Bruce McFarland’s presentation at Surf Park Summit 2 on September 7, 2016. This talk provides an update on the Surf Park project activities of American Wave Machines and discusses the challenges involved in designing surfboards that are used 12 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
BIO
Bruce McFarland is the inventor of SurfStream® and PerfectSwell®. He has had an ongoing distinguished mechanical engineering career spanning over three decades and many industries. Institutional clients have included U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, and top tier U.S. Aerospace and Defense corporations. Industries served include aerospace, defense, shipping, medical, and amusement/leisure. Specific project roles span the U.S. Space Station to Wild Wadi Water Park to the Swatch mobile wave. Bruce is a leading authority on the relationships between water, air, waves, steel, fiberglass, and concrete.
