Cheyne brings more than two decades of surf industry experience, including pivotal roles in developing and operating multiple surf parks. A former professional surfer who cracked the top 100 on the WSL Qualifying  Series and spent over a decade as a free surfer backed by major brands like Quiksilver and Body Glove, Cheyne brings a unique rider’s perspective to wave technology. From crafting wave libraries and leading commissioning to building full-scale operational teams, his expertise in wave design and surf park operations is unmatched in the space.

“Cheyne is the kind of talent you build around,” says Paul Chutter, President of Endless Surf. “His track record,  feel for wave design, and ability to create next-level experiences make him a huge asset as we grow. With  Cheyne onboard alongside our CTO Clement Ginestet and Product Lead, Axel Terradillos, we truly have a  powerhouse team shaping the future of inland surf.”

As Surf Design and Operations Manager, Cheyne will play a central role in shaping the Endless Surf experience at every level—from custom wave programming and lagoon commissioning, to surf coaching, operational planning,  and surf industry engagement. Working closely with Endless Surf’s product and technology teams, he’ll support  R&D and help further evolve the extensive wave library that Endless Surf is already known for.

“Endless Surf is already pushing the envelope with what’s possible in a surf pool,” says Magnusson. “To join  Clement and Axel, and be a part of this next chapter, is something special. The runway we’ve got with this  technology is truly endless and I can’t wait to start taking it to even greater heights alongside this best-in-class  ES team.”

Cheyne’s hire comes at a time of rapid growth for Endless Surf, with projects underway across five continents following the recent debut of its first installation at O₂ SURFTOWN MUC in Germany. His addition reinforces  Endless Surf’s commitment to delivering world-class surf experiences for all with core credibility, operational precision, and unmatched wave variety.

Cheyne is based in Southern California with his wife Courtney and their two daughters. He’ll be working closely with global clients to deliver surf programming, team training, and operational guidance as Endless Surf continues to redefine the surf park experience.
