An updated report from the Sports and Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) has surfing once again in the big growth column. The sport has been on the rise in the last few years and that’s good news for the surf park industry.
The report, titled State of the Industry 2023, shows surfing increasing by about 25% between 2019 and 2022. This boom is fueling the demand for surf-related projects like surf parks and surf-anchored real estate.
So, how else can the industry use this data? How about taking a look at the other growing sports that could be added amenities to a surf park? Think of a pump track alongside the wave pool or a spot for yoga.
