Mick Fanning Partners With Palm Valley Gold Coast, Powered by Endless Surf

Press Release from Endless Surf:

Three-time world surfing champion Mick Fanning has unveiled Palm Valley, Australia’s first surf and golf resort, at the nation’s lifestyle capital. Located 7kms from Main Beach at Parkwood International golf club, Palm Valley will revolutionize outdoor and leisure tourism in Australia. It will seamlessly combine a cutting-edge surf park and upgraded championship golf course with a luxury hospitality resort – capturing the essence of the Gold Coast’s renowned lifestyle.

At the heart of Palm Valley – planned to open in mid 2027 – is advanced Endless Surf wave technology, tested and endorsed by project ambassador, Mick Fanning. The Endless Surf lagoon will create tailored waves for all skill levels, from beginners to professional surfers, elevate the surf park experience, and set a new standard for global innovation

Founder and Managing Director Luke Altschwager said that the fully-approved project represented one of the most significant tourism investments in southeast Queensland in recent decades.

We will create a unique new destination that integrates surf, golf and hospitality – minutes from the Gold Coast CBD. This will position it as a major tourism attraction and the premier training venue for elite surfers. As a high performance training resort, it will offer specialized programs designed for Australian athletes targeting Brisbane 2032, as well as accommodate top-tier international talent. The Surf Lagoon will become a premier venue for professional events – with the potential to host the 2033 Olympic Para surfing, and the surf competition proper, if weather dictates,” he said.

Mr. Altschwager said that the shovel-ready project was well-aligned with the Premier’s new goals for economic growth, job creation and eco tourism leadership. Both Council and State Government are urging new investment in tourism infrastructure that can broaden Queensland’s visitor appeal. “With Mick on board, we’ll bring the passion, innovation and excellence that the Gold Coast has always been known for,” he said.

Driven by a love for surfing and community, Mick Fanning aims to redefine surf parks and share the stoke that shaped his life.

Surfing has given me everything. Palm Valley is my way of giving back, creating an inclusive space that showcases the future of surf parks. There’s no better place than the Gold Coast to merge sport, lifestyle, and world class hospitality for the entire family,” he said.
