Simulated Stoke: Eastern Surf Magazine On Surf Parks’ Future

Eastern Surf Magazine Wave Pool Feature | Surf Park Central

In the latest issue of Eastern Surf Magazine, writer Cash Lambert explores the implications that surf parks may have on the future of surfing and the modern East coast surfer. A well-rounded piece, Lambert’s editorial dances from past to present and then onto the future of surf parks, while also taking some time to wax poetic:

During long flat spells, we East Coast surfers no longer feel that burning desire that gets us up at 5:00 a.m. to check our local spot on a cold winter morning. We don’t feel the sheer joy that comes with seeing an outside set lining the horizon. But wave pools can light that fire that we only feel when we surf. They have the potential to remind us why we love the things we love.” — Cash Lambert – Eastern Surf Magazine

Among the notable surfers and companies included in the article are American Wave Machines, Wavegarden, Kelly Slater Wave Co., Matt Kechele, Todd Holland, Rob Kelly, Jimmy Wilson, and our very own Matt Reilly.
