Surf Snowdonia Opens for 2016 Season
Published March 18, 2016
We can’t quite believe it but the day is finally here! We open our doors for our first full season at 10am on Saturday 19th March, and we just can’t wait to welcome you in and show you around.
Aside from our awesome surf lagoon – which still looks amazing and still generates the longest man-made surfable waves on the planet – we’ve got loads of exciting new stuff for 2016.
That includes some brilliant new water-based thrills which we reckon are going to delight you if you’re a fan of TV’s ‘Total Wipeout’: a crazy ‘Crash & Splash’ obstacle course with our spectacular catapult ‘Blob’! You’d better prepare for some outrageous splashdowns…
We’re also now offering guided stand up paddleboard and kayak safaris on the River Conwy as well as enhanced glamping accommodation and catering facilities. All in the heart of adventure in North Wales! In short, we can’t think of a better place for you to have a brilliant short break this year!
Our epic 300-metre surf lagoon simultaneously generates different wave profiles in different zones – so beginner surfers can surf alongside elite athletes. Because our waves are consistent and guaranteed, you can progress and perfect your technique more quickly than in the ocean. You can either surf as part of a lesson, or independently in a ‘freesurf’ session.
The Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc is a place that has to be seen to be believed – 300 metres of freshwater lagoon set in one of the most beautiful inland landscapes in the UK. One minute you’re driving through the mountains, the next you’re hitting the surf, surrounded by fields and woodland. There’s nothing like seeing the look on people’s faces as they see and hear those waves go roaring past for the first time…
By the way, did you know that Surf Snowdonia has been listed as ‘one of the world’s hottest new experiences for 2016’ by influential travel journal Lonely Planet? Why not come and see why!!
If you fancy staying over we offer on-site B&B glamping pod accommodation from just £25 per person per night, and it’s completely free to park and come onto the site to watch if you just want to satisfy your curiosity.
Here’s to a happy and successful 2016 for everyone; we really hope we’ll see you soon! Book your session now at SurfSnowdonia.co.uk
