From a technical standpoint Chippa Wilson is the best air surfer in the world. So, it was no surprise when he won the first-ever STAB High air comp at the BSR Surf Resort in Waco last summer. Over the course of the day, Wilson stuck every air in his arsenal, and he rarely (if ever) fell. It was as if the section at Waco was (man) made exactly for him.
In this edit, produced by STAB, we get a slow motion look at what makes Wilson so special. Coiled like a spring, Wilson hits every section with technical precision, practicing his tricks over and again to perfection. With air sections in Surf Pools still in their infancy, it will be amazing to see what above-the-lip surfing looks like in 10-years, after tech surfers like Wilson have a decade to dial up dream sections on demand.
