2023 has been a year packed with surf park industry news. We’ve seen new surf parks open to the public and plenty of new parks making significant strides in development. Here are a few headlines we noticed in December.
HTX Surf Club Partners with Endless Surf
Houston-based HTX Surf Club is now working with Endless Surf on their new project. HTX is a Beach Street Development project with original plans of opening in the fall of next year. Initially, the project was partnered with a different wave technology company but announced the switch to Endless this month. Meanwhile, Endless Surf has multiple projects in the works in locations worldwide.
New Images of Proposed Orlando Project
WavePoolMag is sharing new images of a project set for Orlando, Florida. Best known as the home of Disney World, the new surf park by Ocean Sports Development would bring waves to central Florida. The project would include a 15-acre wave tank, playground, volleyball court, pavilion, surf shop, and more. Learn more about the development using Greg Webber wave technology.
Surf Parks Getting Mainstream Media Attention
The arrival of Palm Springs Surf Club is grabbing the attention of the mass media. Earlier this month, the company announced it had started reservations before opening to the public on January 1, 2024. The news is drumming up attention from Forbes, Travel and Leisure and Sports Illustrated.
