Wanna Get Tubed At A Mall In New Jersey?

While the BSR Surf Resort in Waco, Texas is still the premiere high performance surf park in the United States at the moment, the American Wave Machines crew (the technology that powers the waves at BSR), just helped open another public facility: Skudin Surf at The American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ. West of Manhattan, it’s a crystal clear indoor facility that produces the same wedges, tubes, and air sections as the ones at BSR, just on a smaller scale. The pool holds less water than the one in Waco, and its pneumatic system operates with fewer chambers, meaning the waves aren’t nearly as big or as powerful. But that was by design: The pool at American Dream was never meant to compete with the best artificial waves in the world, it’s just a small piece of a bigger puzzle. Regardless, the wedges still look fun as hell, as you’ll see in the clip from Ben Gravy playing above. Next time you find yourself on a layover in Newark (or in New York City), you might wanna jet over to American Dream and check it out for yourself. Book a session here.
