Citywave was developed by the founding couple Rainer and Susi Klimaschewski, two graduate engineers and professional trick skiers from Munich, Germany. Inspired by the river wave “Eisbachwelle” the founders started to develop a mobile version of a deep-water standing wave to bring the sport of surfing into the cities. In addition to surfing, citywave is suitable for a variety of other watersports, such as stand up paddling, longboarding and bodyboarding. The endless wave can be individually adjusted in seconds at the push of a button in size, shape and water volume. Beginners and intermediates can easily learn their first moves and improve their surf skills. Professionals can use citywave as a training facility and work on their surf technic and tricks.
